I really liked this movie it was cute and fun. Peter pointed out that it has some similarities to "How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days", but I really liked that movie too. I don't think that the description below is entirely accurate, it says that she is tired of being a bridesmaid, that is not true until over halfway through the movie. Well, I liked it and I recommend it for a date night.
Description from Netflix:
Tired of being a perpetual bridesmaid after helping 27 friends tie the knot, altruistic Jane (Katherine Heigl) finds herself facing her worst nightmare as her younger sister (Malin Akerman) announces her engagement to the man Jane secretly adores. But when Jane meets the charming Kevin (James Marsden), will she beat her sibling to the altar?

The Chronicles of Narnia
I finished all 767 pages of the Chronicle of Narnia by C.S. Lewis for the second time. The first time was when "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" came out and now "Prince Caspian" is coming out in theaters. I love theses books, there are 7 in all. I love the stories and spiritual parallels. So far the one movie has followed the books really well. Of course, that isn't hard when the books are less than 200 pages long, they don't have to leave much out. So like I said I love the books, but I read them pretty straight through so now my head is swimming in Narnia stories. I am really looking forward to "Prince Caspian" this month.

Return With Honor
Return with Honor is a movie about a return missionary who gets in a accident on the day he returns from his mission. He dies and is told he has 60 days to teach his mom the gospel then he has more work to do.
I really didn't like the movie so much, I thought it was pretty corny and not very well done. I read some reviews on Netflix and most said really good things about it so I was disappointed in it.

The Great Gathering
The Great Gathering by Chad Daybell was an interesting book that will make you think. It is a fictional look at the future gathering of the church in the last days. It made me think would I be one of the faithful who goes to the gathering with out question or will I scoff and think that people are over reacting. It was very interesting and the first in a series, the rest have not come out yet.
I liked the book because it made me think at take a look at myself. And you know what if the Prophet said to gather I would, no matter what.
As described at Deseret Book:
In the near future, Tad and Emma North and their children live in a United States that is growing increasingly wicked. The Norths and their extended family notice that many Latter-day Saints are being deceived by alluring temptations, and they wonder how much longer the Lord will allow American society to continue its downward spiral.
Then comes an invitation from Church leaders for the Saints to gather together. This invitation isn't well-accepted--and even openly mocked--but those faithful Church members who trust in the Lord soon find themselves accomplishing monumental tasks. Join these humble yet heroic Saints as they embark on an unprecedented journey to build New Jerusalem.

Before the Dawn
Before the Dawn by Dean Hughs is about a women who is called as Relief Society president during the great depression. I liked this book, it made me never want to be RS president because you have to know too much about people, but as always Dean Hughs did a great job of portraying the time period and making you feel what it was like to be there. The thing I really did not like about this book was the ending it left you wondering where the end of the book was, it didn't give me any closer.
All in all it was a good book but left me wanting just a little bit more.
Description as found at Deseret Book:
When the bishop calls Leah Sorensen to be Relief Society president, her first impulse is to assume he is joking. "They'd all vote against me if you put my name up," she tells him, "and I'd vote with them." She's prickly and proud, a farm widow who doesn't get along with the town women at all. Why would the Lord want her? Because it's 1932, the depth of the Great Depression, and, as the bishop tells Leah: "You lost your husband and you didn't give up. You know how to survive hard times, and some women in our ward don't. I'm not looking for a nice church lady right now. I'm looking for someone with some grit, and that's what you've got." But will grit be enough when the opposition begins?

Jane Eyer
I have read the book 2 or 3 times, seen the musical on Broadway and seen a few versions of the movie. The version that I have most recently watched was done in 2006 by "Masterpiece Theater". It follows the story really well it does of course leave a few small things out but that is expected when converting a long novel into a movie even a 4 hour long movie. If you would like to enjoy the movie but not 4 hours worth I also enjoyed the 1996 version.
Dan in Real Life
I loved this movie! I thought is was so cute and funny and it was nice to see Steve Carell in a non-"Office" character though he still does seem to make a fool of himself.
This is what is written on netflix:
Advice columnist and widowed father of three Dan Burns (Steve Carell) has met someone new. Marie (Juliette Binoche) is beautiful, she's smart -- and she just so happens to be the girlfriend of Dan's brother Mitch (Dane Cook). With a publicly recognized moral compass, Dan finds himself torn between reaching for happiness and keeping the peace in his family.
